Our hearing plays a big role in helping us stay socially connected to our loved ones. Before receiving hearing aids from the Campaign for Better Hearing’s Give-back Program, George Friesen couldn’t understand what his loved ones were saying.

“People were always frustrated with me,” says George. “I could never understand what my wife and sons were saying. Now I will be able to hear my friends and family better.”

In addition to improving his family relationships, George’s new hearing aids will also help him on the job.

“I am a pilot truck driver and had a hard time hearing the 2-way radio,” George explains. “Now, I can turn the volume way down and still understand what people are saying.”

George was nominated for the Give-back program by HearingLife Hearing Aid Practitioner Laura Anne Bateman in Winkler, Manitoba. The program provides hearing aids to those who need them, but can’t afford them. For every free hearing test taken with the campaign sponsors, $4 is donated towards the Give-back program to help Canadians like George.
