“I say to all of my peers be a part of this important process. We can make a difference to those who need it the most.”
Leadership is a skill that can be hard to come by, but Murray’s strong leadership skills are apparent in almost everything he does. Murray has been a volunteer coach for over 30 years for boys and girls hockey, baseball, girls softball, girls basketball, girls volleyball and boys football! He has also served as a school board trustee for fourteen years and as a municipal councillor for four years.
But what about his job as a hearing professional? For Murray Smith, hearing health is a family affair. Murray, along with his wife Donna and daughter Rikki, works in the HearingLife in Brandon, Manitoba. As a provincially licensed hearing professional, Murray uses his more than 31 years of experience to help his clients receive the best care and customer service at his hearing health clinic.
“I believe that with every hearing test, we provide an opportunity to care for our fellow human beings,” says Murray. “This is one of the fundamental reasons why I love my job so much.”
An important part of Murray’s job and his dedication to the customer experience is the Campaign for Better Hearing. This campaign has a hearing aid Give-back program that awards hearing aids to those who need them but cannot afford them. As a witness to the good work it has done, Murray is an advocate for the Campaign for Better Hearing and all of its endeavours.
I believe the Campaign for Better Hearing brings reality to the dreams of many who wish for a better life,” says Murray. “One doesn’t experience these heartfelt moments in life often, so I am so thankful to the campaign for allowing me to be part of this wonderful process. I say to all of my peers be a part of this important process. We can make a difference to those who need it the most.”
