Sharon faces a range of health challenges, and hearing clearly during medical appointments and family gatherings has become increasingly difficult. Despite her strong desire to improve her hearing, her fixed income makes it impossible to afford amplification.

Asked what she will say to someone sitting on the fence but know they have hearing loss, she said: “I will tell people to get help. It would make a world of difference in their life”
