Lucy Wang enjoys classical music and travelling. She also enjoys helping people with hearing loss and has devoted her career to doing just that.

Lucy, Hearing Instrument Specialist at HearingLife, formerly ListenUP! Canada, actually started out as an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist in China and worked as an ENT for 17 years. In 2009, she graduated from George Brown College’s Hearing Instrument Specialist program and has been working for HearingLife for nine years and counting.

“My medical background encouraged me to pursue a career in this field,” says Lucy. “When a patient with hearing trouble goes from not hearing to hearing better and smiling, that’s the most satisfying part of my job.”

Through the National Campaign for Better Hearing, which awards hearing aids to those who can’t afford them, Lucy has more opportunities to help people hear better.

“The Campaign for Better Hearing is a good way to help people with hearing trouble improve their quality of life,” says Lucy.
